Beauty from Masters of Melody
Music is a gift intended to infuse beauty and truth into our lives. Although that truth sometimes will convey sad themes (sometimes that is the truth about life, after all), the grand story being told is a beautiful one.
In a time when a great deal of modern music is tonally angry and even ugly, we need to be reminded that at least some of our modern artists remain masters of beauty, melody, harmony. Progbeauty.com is a celebration of these masters.
Why prog beauty? "Prog" is familiar shorthand for "progressive rock," a subgenre which - due to the efforts of early stalwarts such as Kansas, Yes, and numerous others - enjoyed its height of popularity in the 1970s, but which has never really died out. Although this site won't restrict itself exclusively to prog, it is nonetheless true that many of our modern melodic masters can be found within its ranks - from icons like Kerry Livgren (Kansas, Proto-Kaw) to neoclassical genre-benders such as Kamelot and others.
Have a beautiful visit!
